만성은 2016년 임시영 담임목사의 부임으로부터 이어온 교회의 공동체 성경통독을 아카데미 프로그램으로 정착시키기 위한 프로젝트 명입니다.
지난 5년간 우리는 “통큰통독”을 통해서 90일 성경 통독을 수차례 시행했고, “일년 성경 일독 프로젝트”를 통해 전체 교우가 함께 성경읽는 신수동교회를 비전으로 지내왔습니다. 2021년부터 신수동교회 아카데미를 준비하며 성경 통독의 모든 과정을 이제 “만성”에 담아 새롭게 시작합니다.
만성은 “매일 만나는 성경”의 줄임말로, 신수동교회 모든 교우들이 매일 공통의 본문으로 진행되는 성경 읽기를 통해 하나의 교회로, 하나의 믿음으로, 진정한 신앙 공동체워 세워져가는 스스로하는 양육 프로그램입니다. 바쁜 현대인의 생활 환경에서 성경 읽기는 어쩌면 늘 두번째의 자리로 밀려나 버렸을 수 있습니다. 이제 우리는 성경 읽기가 그리스도인의 삶에 있어 가장 중요하고 기본적인 경건의 방편이고, 절제의 훈련임을 선포하며, 모든 신수동교회의 교우들이 ‘만독’에 참여하기를 소망합니다.
만독은 교회에서 나눠드린 통독표에 따라 개인별로 진행되기도 하고, 또 함께 읽어가며 서로의 통독을 돕기위해 자원해서 그룹을 만들어 진행되기도 합니다.
혼자서, 또는 그룹으로 함께 공통의 성경 본문을 읽어가며, 하나된 교회 공동체로 신수동교회가 건강히 세워져 가기를 소망합니다.
